This is Christy, my very good work-friend.

And of course, it's another colour fail. I need a slightly more yellow colour but in the end, after the kiln, I find out this is more of an orange.

I'm sorry Christy!

This piece is for an acquaintance-friend. She is fostering a cat and although I seem to get a feeling that she really liked the cat, she is going to have to find it a home. (Frequent travel).

So I wanted to make her this piece so that she has something of Lowkey later.

This is where I keep saying I need the colour index plate as the colours have come out all wrong. I also tried to lighten the brown but ended up making the glaze more watery and thus it looks like it's not well coloured. I don't really want to give such a... poor piece away, but I also just want to get it off my shelf.

I think next time I should be able to put glaze over again and put it in the kiln again. But I will just give this to the friend as I'm not sure when I will next see her again.

Finally the workshop has put some of my pieces into the kiln. I was hoping to finally have my colour plate to see the actual colours of the underglazes, but the lady did not know to use the standing pins for pieces with glaze all around :-(

So I still have to wait for my colour plate.

And I still couldn't figure out why with Flickr embed images are always squished.
