I must say I rather dislike these tiger-stripe patterned cats. They are so difficult to paint.

This one is Lowkey... and I have to say I was just guessing with the colors, as my color index plate hasn't been fired yet.

Later on maybe this week I will have to paint the final cat (Marble) and that is going to be a pain because Marble is a tricolor tiger stripe cat. oh boy!

Again, the backlog is piling up. I continue to make new pieces every week, then waiting for them to turn leather hard, then put it in the queue for bisque fire. And also every week I churn out a new piece. And every week I glaze another piece.

I have quite a formidable army of small animal planters, LOL.

Not all are shown in the photo, but I've made most the animals I've planned to make already. This Saturday I will finish up one last dog. Then I think I will re-make the first 3 doggie planters (my own 3. dogs), and I will also make Bido, a dog that crossed the rainbow bridge a year or so before I started this journey.

I do intend to eventually make my past doggies as well, but those are not so much urgent. Better to make those still alive first.

Last week, this old man came to the workshop; this week also. I don’t know who he is. I looked into the sign-in sheet but apparently he didn’t sign in last week. I thought he was Portuguese, but due to some interaction this week, I think he’s English (by accent). But I really don’t know what he’s trying to do.

It seems like he’s working on molds, but he also had to use the wheel today to trim something. His back is severely bent (working a lot hunched over?) and he walks like he doesn’t have good balance. So when he wanted to work on the wheel and the wheels weren’t cooperating, I just had to go help him figure out the plugs and electricity (it looked like a bad idea for him to crouch down on the floor to sort that out).

Anyway, I guess if he continues to go then I’ll eventually see what he is working on. I’m just curious because for the longest of time, I’ve been the only person hanging around the workshop on Saturdays. They’ve posted the new schedule for summer and cut out all the morning sessions, except for Saturdays, which I think they’ve kept it for me (haha).
